Eleven Spartans are among approximately 1,200 American undergraduate students from more than 350 colleges and universities across the U.S. selected to receive the prestigious Benjamin A. GenCen is pleased to be a drop-off location for the statewide Michigan Health & Hygiene Donation Drive for the Homeless, occurring Monday, April 24th through Friday, May 5th.

Donations will be accepted during our office hours, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (with the possibility that we will be closed from 12-1pm for lunch). MSU's Sexual Assault Program (Room 14 Student Services Building) is also participating as a drop-off location.

MSU Sexual Assault Program is requesting applications for its summer volunteer training sessions. You do NOT need to be affiliated with MSU to volunteer, and if you're interested in learning more there is an information session on Wednesday, May 10 at 5pm in Room 6 Student Services Bldg. Applications are due Friday, May 12.

Alexandra Carolina Torres came to Michigan State University from Quito, Ecuador to pursue her dream of becoming a master adwoman. She came to the U.S. searching for opportunities in the advertising industry, and found MSU's top-ranking ComArts program to be exactly what she was looking for.

Earlier this week VIPP students in Joe Cousins' American Culture class visited the Berkowitz Basketball Complex to meet with the MSU Women's Basketball team. Participants met Coach Suzy Merchant and senior Tori Jankoska and had the chance to tour the facility including its offices, locker rooms, and practice gym.

Michael Alberts has compiled a detailed journal of his trip to the Soviet Union as a student in 1967, having studied Russian politics with Alfred G. Meyer at Michigan State University.
