Tanzania Partnership Program - Graduate Student Hourly Employee

The Tanzania Partnership Program (TPP) is seeking a graduate student employee to begin spring semester 2018. This is a paid on-campus hourly position requiring a commitment of up to 10 hours per week during our office hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, in the International Center. Applicants must be enrolled at MSU. This is an excellent opportunity for graduate students interested in international development, globalization, and sustainable community partnerships.  Depending on performance, the position will continue beyond the spring semester.

The graduate student employee will provide overall support to the Tanzania Partnership Program http://pscd.isp.msu.edu/. Essential duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide intellectual contributions such as analyzing scholarly literature
  • Editing the TPP website and social media sites
  • Assisting in the development of TPP print materials
  • Working with TPP faculty and staff to prepare for recurring on-campus meetings
  • Assisting with database management and organization of program files
  • Supporting other program initiatives as they arise

A successful graduate student employee will possess the following skills:

  • Ability to work without assistance in Microsoft Office Suite including excel and PowerPoint
  • Comfortable with computer navigation and file management
  • Ability to work independently
  • Interest in international research and development in Africa
