Education Abroad 101 (EA 101) is for anyone interested in studying abroad but isn't sure where to start! Topics covered include:

• Benefits of Education Abroad
• Things to Consider (courses, timing, budget)
• Program Types
• Cost Factors and Program Fees
• Scholarships and Funding
• Navigating the Website
• Searching for Programs
• Health, Safety and Security

At the end there will be a Q&A session where you can ask us any questions you may have.

This panel brings together three community-engaged scholars to share what they have learned while working to apply feminist ethics to their research partnerships with communities, local organizations, and global scholars. The panelists will discuss strategies for defining a shared research question, sharing budgets and work, and communicating effectively on diverse teams.

Panelists include Jennifer Carrera (Sociology and Environmental Science and Policy), Trixie Smith (Writing, Rhetoric and Cultures), and Rowenn Kalman (Anthropology and Forestry).

The MSU International Business Center and MEDC are hosting a South Korean Market Spotlight event as part of the Global Business Club series. The program includes market overviews, a Michigan Exporters Panel, lunch, networking, and one-on-one meetings with trade experts. To apply for an Office for Education Abroad Scholarship, all you have to do is apply for a program before the scholarship deadline. Within your Via Global application, mark the checkbox "YES" that you would like to be considered for a scholarship. This allows the Office for Education Abroad to access your financial aid record and consider you for all scholarships for which you are eligible. Nothing else is required.

The deadlines to apply for an Office for Education Abroad Scholarship are as follows:

• First-Year Seminar Abroad programs: June 1
• Winter Break and Spring programs: October 1
• Spring Break programs: December 15
• Summer programs: February 15
• Fall and Academic Year programs: March 1
